The project

A Red Lounge, Checkerboard Kitchen & Backyard Pool

At 2240 N New Hampshire Avenue in Los Angeles, we photographed rooms with distinctly different looks: a living room with dark wood floors and large windows, a red lounge lined with bookshelves, and a kitchen with green-and-white checkerboard flooring. The interior gallery also includes bedrooms, a dining nook and views toward the backyard.

Outside, we photographed the swimming pool from the patio and from across the water, with mature trees and a green umbrella in the frame. The aerial photographs show the house within its surrounding neighborhood and the arrangement of the roof, yard and pool.

Inside the home

The main living-room image keeps the artwork, wood floors and generous windows in view. A second photograph shows the red seating area and its bookshelves. We also photographed the long white kitchen and checkerboard floor, a bedroom with wall-mounted shelving, and the dining nook beside the patio doors.

The front lawn, patio and swimming pool

The exterior photographs start with the full front elevation and its raised lawn. In the backyard, one frame looks across the pool toward the house; another shows the paved seating area beside the grass. A wider rear view shows how the pool and lawn share the yard.
