Los Angeles Real Estate Photographer – Architectural, Luxury and Airbnb Photography Across LA County

Luxury estates, Airbnbs and architectural listings photographed to sell, HDR photography, drone, cinematic video, 3D tours and floor plans, delivered in 24–48 hours. Over 750 Los Angeles homes shot every year.

Trusted by Los Angeles Agents for Luxury, Airbnb & Architectural Listings

Finding the right real estate photographer in Los Angeles can decide how fast and how well a property sells. Since 2012, House of Pix has photographed more than 15,000 homes across Southern California, including 750+ Los Angeles listings every year, creating content built to drive engagement on Zillow, Homes.com, the MLS, and Airbnb.

Our approach combines editorial photography with lifestyle storytelling: magazine-quality images that attract the right buyer, not the bargain hunter. Every shoot pairs artistic composition with the technical work LA demands: flash-ambient blending for harsh Valley light, exposure control for hillside views, and color management under the coastal marine layer.

What Makes Los Angeles Real Estate Photography Different

blacony of los angeles home overlooking pacific ocean with great photography technique to avoid marin layerjpg

Different Los Angeles neighborhoods require distinct photography approaches due to varying light and architectural challenges. In coastal areas like the Westside, the soft, overcast light from the marine layer is managed carefully to preserve color and avoid a flat look. In the Valley, harsh midday sun necessitates a special flash technique to control brightness and keep interiors balanced.

DTLA condos demand precision for tight layouts and reflective surfaces, while hillside homes in areas like Hollywood Hills and Bel Air require exposure blending to handle extreme sunlight and window views. Finally, luxury properties in neighborhoods like Beverly Hills call for staging, symmetry, and an elevated, editorial style to meet buyer expectations.

Los Angeles is where most of our week goes, and the county is not one market; it is a dozen that happen to share a name. We shoot the Westside and the canyons daily, the flats and hillsides of Beverly Hills, and the three cities of the South Bay around Manhattan Beach. Past the Palos Verdes peninsula, the county keeps going and so do we: Long Beach is about half an hour from the South Bay on a clear morning and sits on the same run.

Meet Moe, the Photographer Behind Every House of Pix Shoot in Los Angeles

moe-raja-southern-california-real-estate-photographer-los-angeles

Every Los Angeles listing we shoot is photographed by Moe Raja. He has been shooting property in this city since 2012. First for architectural firms around Silver Lake and Los Feliz, then for the listing agents who kept calling to ask who took the photos. He lives in Highland Park, works out of a car that is more lighting kit than car, and photographs roughly fourteen LA homes a week.

That volume matters more here than it would almost anywhere else, because no two Los Angeles neighborhoods light the same way. A Venice bungalow booked for 9 a.m. is fighting a marine layer that will not lift until noon. A Mulholland modern with a west-facing wall of glass has about forty minutes of usable interior light before the sun turns the living room into a silhouette. A Spanish revival in Los Feliz needs flash to keep the plaster reading warm instead of green. Moe schedules around all of it. Which is why some shoots start at odd hours, and why the photos come back looking like the house did when you walked it.

"I've shot houses in ninety-something LA neighborhoods. The job isn't making a room look bigger. It's making a buyer feel like they've already been standing in it."
Moe Raja, Lead Photographer

Los Angeles Real Estate Photography FAQs

  • Pricing in LA varies based on experience, quality, and turnaround. Most photographers range from $250–$700, but high-end specialists typically sit between $400–$1,200 depending on property size and deliverables.

House of Pix pricing starts at $265 for up to 1,100 sq ft, including both editorial + lifestyle shots with next-day delivery. Larger properties and luxury listings are priced accordingly.

  • All packages are listed here: our real estate photography packages
If you need custom bundles (Airbnb + Reels + Floor Plan + Drone), we can price it out instantly.

  • For STRs, pricing is slightly higher because we spend ~50% of the shoot styling, creating lifestyle compositions, and making the home feel “bookable.”
Rates usually fall between $350–$750 depending on the host’s goals, square footage, and add-ons like Reels or Twilight.

  • Absolutely! Listings with professional photos receive up to 2–3x more engagement, and Airbnb hosts typically see better occupancy and higher nightly rates within the first 30 days. The visual impression directly impacts click-through rate and booking conversions.

  • You can reschedule through your confirmation email, the client portal, or by texting us directly. We’re flexible. Just give us a heads-up so we can adjust our route for the day.

  • We’ll send you a short prep checklist before arrival. In general:

    • Declutter surfaces

    • Turn on all lights

    • Replace burnt bulbs

    • Open blinds

    • Hide personal items

    • Make beds + fluff pillows

    • For Airbnb: add lifestyle touches (books, blankets, towels, throw pillows)

If needed, we can style and prep on-site.

  • A standard shoot takes 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on size, add-ons, and styling needs. STR shoots take longer because we capture detail shots, amenities, and editorial moments.

  • Real estate photos are delivered within 48 hours.
Airbnb, luxury listings, and content bundles are usually 48–72 hours depending on the package.

  • We use a hybrid workflow:

    • Natural-light base

    • Flash-ambient blending

    • Global color work

    • Lens corrections

    • Minor retouching

    • AI-assisted object cleanup (only when needed — we avoid anything misleading)

Every photo is individually refined. Never batch-dumped.

  • Zillow hires photographers through third-party vendors at lower rates. Our clients book us directly for higher quality, faster turnaround, and more creative control.

  • Historically in Los angeles, December–January has the slowest activity. Professional photography matters even more in slow seasons because buyers rely heavily on online content.
