House of Pix offers FAA-licensed drone photography and 4K aerial video for real estate listings across Los Angeles County. Aerials are $150 when flown on the same day as a listing shoot at the same address, $265 for a standalone visit, and every file is delivered within 24 hours of the flight. Every flight runs under Part 107 certificate FA3B5X39H, with the airspace checked and authorized before we leave for the property.

Both rates include the airspace check and, where the property needs one, the FAA authorization — we do not bill for either.

Flying in Los Angeles Airspace
Los Angeles is one of the hardest metros in the country to fly a drone in legally, and airspace is the most common reason an aerial shoot gets cancelled here. LAX sits at the centre of a Class B shelf. Hollywood Burbank is Class C. Van Nuys, Santa Monica, Hawthorne, Torrance, Whiteman, El Monte and Long Beach each carry their own controlled ring on top of that. Between them they cover a large share of the county's listing inventory.
Where we can fly the same day
Most of Los Angeles County is either uncontrolled or sits in a LAANC grid with a ceiling between 100 and 400 feet — more altitude than a listing aerial ever needs. Authorization comes back in seconds, so we can book you the same week. That covers the Hollywood Hills, Los Feliz, Silver Lake, Echo Park, Mid-City, Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, most of the Westside and most of the Valley floor away from the runway approaches.
Where it takes longer
Some grids on the FAA's facility map carry a zero-foot ceiling, which means no automatic authorization at any altitude. In Los Angeles, those sit under the LAX approach and departure corridors, Westchester, Playa del Rey, and parts of Inglewood and El Segundo, and at the ends of the Van Nuys, Burbank, Santa Monica, Hawthorne, Torrance, and Long Beach runways. A property inside one of those grids needs a manual FAA request, which takes days to weeks. Send us the address when you enquire and we will run the check that day, before you promise the seller a date.
The rest of the Los Angeles rulebook
Three restrictions apply here that do not apply in most markets. The FAA places a standing restriction over stadiums seating thirty thousand or more — three nautical miles wide, up to three thousand feet, from an hour before an event until an hour after — which touches SoFi Stadium, Dodger Stadium, Crypto.com Arena and the Rose Bowl. Wildfire temporary flight restrictions go up with almost no notice and can cover large parts of the foothills in fire season; flying inside one is a federal offence, so we stand down. And the City of Los Angeles has its own drone ordinance, Municipal Code section 56.31, layered on top of the federal rules. We fly inside all of it.
Aerial Video for Los Angeles Listings
The aerial video is a 1.5 to 2-minute 4K edit, cut to music and graded to match the stills from the same shoot. It opens wide on the neighborhood, pushes in on the property, and ends on whatever the listing is actually selling. The view, the pool, the yard, the roof deck. You get a horizontal cut for the MLS and the listing site plus a vertical crop for Instagram and TikTok, so nothing has to be re-edited before it goes out.
On hillside and view properties, the video usually does more work than the stills. A photograph of a Hollywood Hills terrace does not explain what you are looking at. A slow reveal across the basin does.

2. We fly
Nobody needs to be at the property. The whole aerial set is shot from outside, so there is no access to arrange unless the property is gated. A typical aerial takes twenty to thirty minutes on site and is usually flown alongside the ground-level shoot.
3. Files in 24 hours
Edited stills and the video arrive within 24 hours of the flight, in the same delivery as the rest of your shoot. Nothing is watermarked and nothing is held back.

House of Pix charges $150 for drone photography when it is flown the same day as a listing photo shoot at the same address, and $265 when it is booked as its own visit. Drone video is priced the same way. Booking both as add-ons to one shoot is $300. Most Los Angeles operators do not publish a price at all and quote in the $200 to $450 range.
